Cook With Love:Dry Fish Beans Sprout
Beans sprout or taugeh are one of the favourite delicacies for Malaysian , almost found everywhere regardless of Malay, Chinese or Indian shops in their own ways of cooking. Personally,I love most when paired with chicken rice in a Chinese shop. Today we will see on how to cook them with dry fish, the salty dry fish bind with beans sprout are the excellent portion in your plate for complete meals. Also,good source of vitamins and minerals.
Serving 4-5 pax
Ingredients:
500g beans sprout, cleaned
1 medium onion sliced
5 garlic cloves sliced
1 red chilli, sliced
100g dry fish, cut in cubes and roasted
salt as per taste
2 tbsp cooking oil
some onion leaves to garnish
Steps:
1.Heat oil and drop the onion, chillies and garlic
2.Drop the beans sprout and let cook for 10 mins
3.Add the dry fish and sprinkle some salt, as per taste
4.Garnish with some onion leaves
5.Serve hot with white rice.
Tips:
- Try not to overcook the beans sprout to get the crunchy taste
- May add some carrot julienne to add flavour
- Adjust only after adding in the dry fish because it has salty properties too
