Beyond Mat:Breathing During Yoga

 

Breathing is very important while performing yoga poses either easy or difficult poses. Yoga trainer generally advised to take deep breathing while practising to avoid injury and also it allows us to experience our true essence. The steady flow of breathing stimulates a transformation in the body and mind, purifying and cleansing them so that our true essence shines forth. Besides that, not only should breath linked to movement but the breath should initiate the movement. Inhalation should start even before initiating Sun salutation which observed as warming exercise for yoga practice. Every system in the body relies on oxygen which is from cognition to digestion. Effective breathing provides a greater sense of mental clarity, cures insomnia, improves digestion, build a strong immune response and reduces stress level.
