Picture Speaks:Shop For Snacks
The first thing to grab when going for an unplanned shopping is the snack pack! I wonder if how many of us can deny this idea. Sometimes it just happens to be unplanned or perhaps we would not be able to resist our craving toward them especially they are arranged wonderfully on the shelf just meant to pull our interest to dump into our shopping trolley. Yes, I agree that not all the snacks are bad, not all of them are high in calories and endanger our health. Unfortunately, most of them are not "health-friendly" and most of the times we fail to flip their nutrition information to learn what is we craving for or even concern if it is really needed. Absolutely, shopping for snacks does not define cruelty at all but doing them on a regular basis is certainly detrimental to our health and pocket too! Somehow we will definitely get addicted to them without realizing the harm it caused especially when the snack is high in salt, flavoured with Monosodium Glutamate(MSG), too much artificial sweetener, enhanced with artificial colouring and many other aspects meant to rip off our health. Shopping for these non-essential foods can be done on a very irregular basis, maybe once a month to remind our limit and also keep our indulgence on move at the same time.
So here are some tips on how to keep you in check when going shopping and keeping you safe from snacking:
- draw a list of the items to buy and comply with as much as possible
- bring cash with a very limited amount just sufficient to buy necessary stuff
- never turn back to the snacks shelf or place in the shop
- remind yourself to remain serene on your intention to uphold health
- always flip the nutrition information at the package before buying them
Remember, we are the sole proprietor of our body and keeping them healthy undoubtedly our responsibility too. So picking on good things while eating is ultimately important to reach this goal.
