Cobra pose or also known as bhunjangasana in Sanskrit is an invigorating and versatile back and heart opener. This pose is often accompanied or practised as part of Sun Salutations or referred to as Surya Namaskar. Looks simple does not mean lesser benefits, you may practice this pose on regular basis to derive the following benefits:

- Place your palms flat on the ground directly under your shoulders
- Bend your elbows straight back & hug them into your sides
- Pause a moment looking straight down at your may with the neck in a neutral position
- Inhale to lift up your chest slowly
- Keep neck in a neutral position for 30-50sec, depending on your stamina
- Then exhale while bringing yourself down
- May repeat as much cycle as you comfortable
