Aspire To Inspire:Compassion To Animals

An animal has equal right to preserve respect and dignity as a human. However, it is such a weary situation to see them as a vulnerable subject. Human is lacking compassion and empathy towards animals . Apart from relishing them, killing them brutally been a part of the tradition . The news of feeding pineapple with a firecracker to a pregnant elephant in Malapuram in India attracted the world's attention amidst of COVID 19 distress. The pregnant and hungry elephant walked into a village in Malapuram. She quickly grabbed the pineapple with firecrackers offered by the locals without aware of unfortunate consequences to come.

 The firecrackers exploded as she bites the pineapple causing mouth tear and jaw fracture. The pitiful mother ran to the lake near and immerse herself in the water due to the unbearable pain . However, she passed away miserably with her fetus during the rescue.

     Honestly, I'm feeling extremely shameful to acknowledge myself as a human. Lack of humanity shows apparent  cause to the terrible death of the mother elephant. I just wonder if they are lucid during their inhuman action. Could not imagine how she feels with the fetus during her death. Such an innocent death, the accused should be punished severely. They should be killed similarly by stuffing their mouth with pineapple and firecrackers to let them feel the mother's suffering. The punishments should be a lesson to others who commit insults or abuse to animals. Authorities should take this matter seriously and undertake the right judgment to punish those inhuman accused. People may show their protest towards this inhuman action via social media, at least pray for a few seconds for the mother and fetus. May her soul rest in peace!
