Piercing can be psychologically addictive and often linked to an increased likelihood of 'sensation-seeking behaviour'.Some perceive them as fashion whereas many see them as a push to test their limits. Upon conquering the anxiety or fear after piercing once, it became a new excitement to pierce further. Commonly pierced body parts are the ears, nose and the belly button. Oral piercings include the lip, cheek and tongue. When a piercing is healed, some people will choose to expand the size of the hole to wear certain types of jewellery, including plugs and tunnels. However, this changed over time for fashion and fascination. Many may query that if body piercing is really good or bad? Body piercing will never escape from troubles too as follows:
- Infection such as hepatitis and HIV

- swelling
- scarring
- reactions to the jewellery
So it is advisable to observe precautions when attempting for body piercing such as choosing the expert body piercing person, ensure the person practice hygiene and limit yourself from piercing on critical areas of the body. Also, try to avoid excessive piercing over kids and infected area of your body.
