Sensitive isn't bad and can be life-saving in many events however any imbalance in emotions will put us into miseries and sadness. Similarly,over-sensitive could be troublesome to yourself and the people around you too."Even a drizzle feels like a monsoon, if you are sensitive" means that even small sight of inappropriate troubles, provoking communication, ill conduct and many other negative consequences put one into the terrible depth of sensitivity. This is when the society faces corruption, suicidal, disunity and crimes. However, as mentioned before it can be helpful in certain circumstances too as listed below:
- complete the tasks assigned on time
- maintain dignity in the social circle
- able to detect and rectify any errors
- keeping mind and body in line with the goal
This positive outcome is good if the sensitiveness is on the right scale but matters may get worse if we became over sensitive and simply lead to negative impacts as listed below:
- getting depressed over irrelevant matter
- afraid of criticism and subsequently opt for social withdrawal or isolation
- became too anxious and ruin the picture completely
- relationship turbulence and often blame others
- irrational thoughts and behaviours
- illogical challenges over own capabilities
We can overcome this over-sensitive demon easily by taking the following measures:
- learn to throw fair judgments in whatever situation or matters
- approach criticism in a positive manner and rectify wherever possible
- keep emotions under check and try to stay calm but composed over testing period or worse situation
- speak out your mind when ready and needed with someone; could be your friend, family members or colleagues
- stay confident and motivated
- lifestyle changes including exercises and meditation
- seek help if your emotions go out of your control
- analyze your aptitude and perform accordingly, as well as keep strategies in track
Anyhow, do not be so harsh on ourself since we are designed to play around with emotions as a human. We are blank board without emotions but it may turn hazardous upon exceeding its limit. So assess yourself if you are a sensitive person and if yes, quickly reach out the solution and ways to change them for betterment!
