Beyond Mat:Not So Good
The bad side of yoga practice is not heavier compared to the good one, however, the ill effects of yoga are undeniable despite its glories celebrated in every corner of the world. Negativity is just around us, in whatever we do which enable us to realize and rectify them to harvest the fullest benefits. Similarly, yoga exhibits certain disadvantages too requiring serious attention, in the hope to fix them so we may practice with fewer hassles:
- Certain centres or yoga master encourages students to perform Hot Yoga also called Bikram Yoga where strenuous poses performed under 105C consequently leads to heart disease, dehydration and heatstroke
- Exessive yoga push causing multiple injuries
- Tendency to get misguided by the non certified teacher, whom also diverts your attention to more superstitious or unreal matters
- Certain limitations such as pregnancy and illness put you hold or restrict your freedom to practice yoga
The list is not long, yoga undoubtedly flourishes the practitioners with the abundance of energy, flexibility and balance in both mind and body. Keeping precautions is a great step to learn and practice them rightfully!
